While safe on most standard indoor windowsills, avoid placing the planter in locations with extreme, concentrated heat, such as the interior of a closed vehicle on a hot day, directly next to high-heat appliances, or in areas receiving prolonged, magnified, intense summer sun that could cause the material to soften and warp.
